2019 Equinox
Description
This wine is the estate’s premier cuvée, and the first wine produced in 2014. It exquisitely exudes the full potential of powerful reds while maintaining the freshness of Provence.
Mostly composed of Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, this wine is powerful, complex and tannic. What defines Equinox is the balance between the spicy aroma of the Syrah, the fruity aroma of the Cabernet and the complexity from the wood of the barrels in which it is aged.
Its nose has intense notes of blackberries, along with leather and hummus. The oak barrels used for its elevage can be subtly noted and provide nice structure and body.
Given its structure, tannins and freshness, Equinox can be stored up to ten years.
Serve at 16 degrees Celsius. To fully appreciate its aromas, it should be decanted 30 minutes before drinking.
